Volunteer Appreciation

On Wednesday, January 24, Washtenaw County, along with 20/20 Communications and Siemens, recognized the numerous community volunteers who have worked so diligently on the Wireless Washtenaw project over the last twenty-four months. The honorees included representatives from the six Wireless Washtenaw groups - Advisory Board, Steering Committee, Governance Committee, Business Committee, Information Technology Committee and Communications Committee. Also attending were representatives from the local units of government, state and federal legislators, and representatives from 20/20 Communications & Siemens.

"Certainly, ideas and setting goals are important, but without the tireless effort - in so many areas - of the indiviuals and organizations who stepped forward to make Wireless Washtenaw a reality, it would have been just another neat idea," said Washtenaw County Deputy Administrator David Behen.
