Project Update - June 2007

20/20 Communications continues to make preparations for the expansion of the Wireless Washtenaw network. Plans are underway to build-out a 144 square mile section in Southwestern Washtenaw County by the end of Summer 2007. Throughout this time, 20/20 Communications will continue to secure additional assets in other areas of Washtenaw County so that expansion can continue throughout the remainder of 2007. Additional details surrounding the expansion will be announced as soon as they are available. To help expedite deployment, residents and businesses with existing tall infrastructure – such as towers, barns, and farm silos – can contact 20/20 Communications at (734) 973-2020, Ext 821 to discuss their usability for the project.

In addition, 20/20 Communications also announced a new low-cost mobile service that will be effective throughout the duration of the network build-out. For $20/month, residents will be able to access the Wireless Washtenaw network from a mobile setting (outdoors with a laptop or other Wi-Fi enabled device).
